Introduction to Cognitive Psychology: Understanding the Human Mind
This course provides an introduction to the field of cognitive psychology and the processes that underlie human thought and behavior. The course will cover key topics such as perception, attention, memory, language, problem-solving, decision-making, and consciousness. Students will explore theories and models of cognitive psychology, including cognitive neuroscience and computational models of cognitive processes.
The course will focus on the relationship between the mind and behavior, as well as the biological and environmental factors that shape cognitive processes. Additionally, the course will examine the impact of technology on cognitive psychology, including advances in neuroimaging and artificial intelligence.
Throughout the course, students will have the opportunity to engage in hands-on activities, including conducting research experiments and analyzing data. Students will also develop critical thinking and analytical skills through assignments and class discussions.
